πŸ›‘οΈ What should I do if I'm scammed by a server using Vaultcord?

πŸ›‘οΈ What should I do if I'm scammed by a server using Vaultcord?

We're sorry you experienced this.

Vaultcord backs up and restores servers, but doesn't manage them or oversee their transactions. We can't refund money or moderate their activities.

However, we have a system in place to ensure that scammers face serious consequences! πŸ›‘

🀝 Our Partnership with Scammer Alert

To combat fraud, Vaultcord is officially partnered with Scammer Alertβ€”the leading community for investigating and blacklisting malicious users on Discord.

While we can't intervene in your specific transaction, we can ensure the scammer is punished globally across our entire network.

πŸ“‹ What you need to do:

Vaultcord support does not handle third-party scam reports directly. To get a scammer banned from our system, you must report them to our partners:

1. Gather your evidence πŸ“Έ Collect clear proof of the scam. This includes screenshots of the chat, transaction receipts (PayPal, Crypto, etc.), and the Discord User ID of the scammer.

2. Join Scammer Alert πŸ”— Join their official Discord server here: https://discord.com/invite/scammeralert

3. Open a Ticket 🎟️ Once you are in, open a support ticket. Provide your evidence and the scammer's ID. Their team will review the case professionally.

βš–οΈ The Consequences: Why this matters

If the evidence is verified and the user is marked as a scammer by Scammer Alert, the following happens:

The user IDs reported on Scammer Alert are automatically blocked from ever verifying on ANY Vaultcord-protected server again. Since a massive portion of the Discord ecosystem uses Vaultcord for their member backups and verification, being blacklisted by us is a huge blow to a scammer. They will be locked out of thousands of servers and will lose the ability to verify themselves anywhere that uses our technology. It effectively renders their ability to operate ineffective.
